Almond Protein Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup almonds
- 2 tbsp flax seeds
- 1/3 cup protein powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 tbsp rice malt syrup
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp almond milk
- 80g dark chocolate
Method
- Line a tray with parchment paper. In a food processor, process the almonds for 45-60 seconds, until they are a crumb-like consistency.
- Add the flax seeds, protein powder and blend again until combined. Then add the vanilla, rice malt syrup, oil and milk. Process until the mixture combines together (it should be a sticky like consistency).
- Press the mixture down into the prepared tray. Melt the dark chocolate and pour it over the top. Place in the fridge or freezer to set.
- Once set, cut into bar slices. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
