Oats are a great food choice to start the day. They are high in dietary fibre keeping you full throughout the day. They are high in Vitamins and Minerals including; Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium and Iron and have a good amount of protein in them.

Creamy Vanilla Oats
Ingredients
- 40g Quick Oats
- 10g Vanilla Protein Powder
- 2/3 Cup Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Toppings
- 50g Fresh Strawberries (or any fruit of your choice)
- 1 tsp Maple Syrup
- 1 tbsp (20g) Almond Butter
Method
- In a large microwave-safe bowl add oats, protein powder, water and vanilla essence. Stir until mixed together.
- Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the microwave (the bowl may be hot so be careful). Stir again.
- Add the toppings strawberries, maple syrup and almond butter.
- Enjoy this hearty, healthy breakfast
