These Twix bars have a crisp base, sweet and soft middle and firm chocolate top. They are perfect for any occasion.
Healthy Twix Bar
Ingredients
Base
- 1 ¼ Cup Almond Meal
- 2 tbsp Rice malt syrup
- 2 tbsp Nuttalex melted
Middle
- 6 medjool dates, soaked
- 2 tbsp cashew butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- Pinch salt
Top
80g dark chocolate
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
- To a bowl add the base ingredients and mix until well combined. Press down firmly into the prepared tray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Flatten the base down with the back of a spoon when it comes out of the oven.
- While the base is cooking add the middle ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth. Once the base is out of the oven and pressed flat spread the middle layer over the top.
- Pour the chocolate over the top. Place in the fridge or freezer to set.
- Cut into Twix bar slices.
