Overview
This slice is so incredibly easy to make. It is full of whole food ingredients. The perfect balance between being soft and chewy with a few crunchy bits.
Chocolate Protein Slice
Ingredients
- 8 Medjool Dates
- 1 Cup Whole Almonds
- 4 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 2 Tbsp Choc Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp Rice Malt Syrup
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
- 3 Tbsp Almond Milk
- 100g Dark Chocolate
Method
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper. In a food processor, blend the almonds and dates until they are chopped up into small chunks.
- Add cocoa powder, protein powder, rice malt syrup, vanilla and 2 tbsp almond milk, Blend until all combined.
- Press the slice mixture down into the prepared pan. Melt the dark chocolate. Mix the remaining 1 tbsp of milk into the chocolate and stir until a thick icing like consistency has formed. Spread over the slice. *Optional to sprinkle over sea salt flakes.* Place into the fridge to set for 1hr.
*Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
